So I am slightly mind blown..

Lets start with a small intro. I own a 2019 Clarity Touring Plug-In.
My commute from home to work is exactly 55 miles. (so 110 miles per day, at least)
I charge on a L1 at home and on a L2 at work.
In the morning I tend to run out of charge about 10-15 miles away from work, in the evening about 5-10 miles away from home and on occasion I can make it all the way home with 0.2-0.5 miles left on the charge.

So, my last "tank of gas" lasted me 1388 miles, filled up 6.329 gallons = 219.31 MPG's!!!!! ($22.15)

I used to fill up at least twice per week at about $70 per tank. The Clarity is essentially paying for it self in fuel savings.

just wanted to share :)

You are experiencing the wonders of the Clarity PHEV syndrome....

Yes your mileage is very good considering how little fuel you actually burn.
I love mine - no fuel used for 5 days of the week on my wife's commute too...
She loves not having to fill up each week.

Next try to get the entire commute on EV only - using a lot more regen paddle braking and coasting.
You would be amazed at how much you can regenerate back in EV power....

It's a different ballgame now - you'd need to also add in the cost of your L2 charging AND your L1 charging at home for a dollars to dollars comparison. In general for me, it tends to be about a 50% savings over gasoline.
