I love everything about my new Clarity Touring except two things, the fingerprints and the fact that regenerative braking shut off after every stop in Eco mode. The touch screen is a fingerprint magnet. I need to clean it with a microfiber towel after almost every drive. A company as technologically advanced as Honda should be able to supply a screen that minimizes fingerprint adhesion. If anyone has been successful with reducing the fingerprint problem please let me know. The fact that regenerative braking in Eco mode shuts off after every stop baffles me. I see no logical reason for it. I'm hoping that Honda will see the errors of its ways and make a software change (if possible ) to correct this flaw in an otherwise brilliantly designed car.

Finger prints - I keep one of the glasses cleaning clothes in my console for cleaning the screen. Every car I have had recently with a touch screen has had the same issue.

Regen braking - If you drive in sport mode the reg braking setting does not shut off. I drove home last night on a curvy road and for grins used Sport mode. It was fun, but I had to constantly use the paddles to change the amount of reg braking I wanted. I do the same thing in econ mode. So I really don't see what the problem is. In econ mode you use the paddles to engage regen braking, In sport mode you use the paddles just as often to change the amount of braking.

Groves, I use sport mode when driving so that RB stays on. When RB is engaged I never have to change the setting. Not sure why you would have to fiddle with it when you can use a combination of the brake and RB to match your conditions when in Sport mode. Because Eco mode is the most efficient way to drive the car we be should be able have RB locked in until you shut it off. That isn't just my opinion. In the many reviews I read and watched before buying the car, the lack of a constant RB in Eco mode was an issue. Regarding fingerprints: My previous car, a Volt, had no fingerprint issues on the screen. Fingerprints on the screen was another issue mentioned in the reviews. Having said all that, I love the Clarity. Thanks for the reply.

One of my other cars was a TLX so maybe it had the same screen material as the Honda. My Jeep Grand Cherokee also has fingerprint issues. I used the paddles when I was in Sports mode because on some curves I was just a little bit of RB and on some more. Same with hills. Everyone's driving experience is different.

Concerning the fingerprint issue, I just hit upon it accidently today. I noticed this afternoon as i was heading out for lunch that I had put a pen in my car and that pen had one of those soft rubber(?) ends on it made for using on smartphones/tablets. Now (if i remember) i use that and no more fingerprints!!!
