I just noticed (or my wife actually) that the Sirius XM Radio seems to be frozen on one of the preset channels and CANNOT be changed! You can push the virtual buttons but nothing happens, you can select other presets and they light up but the music stays on the same original channel. Essentially you are stuck. The FM/AM/Bluetooth/Android Auto all work fine just the SXM!! Makes me much less likely to keep Sirius XM once the 3 month subscription expires!

Anyone run into this problem and find a work around!?

no i haven't. just happened late today so not able to go to dealer. will see if it 'fixes' itself or not. I have seen something about "rebooting" the radio for Honda Accord and Civic with similar radio setups but haven't see HOW to reboot! *sigh*

Driving under an un-obstructed clear sky shouldn't be an issue anywhere here in the US. However a thick tree canopy, wet tree leaves, tunnels, strong storm clouds, etc., can and will result in a broken signal. Got to have an unbroken line between the satellite and your roof antenna.
I don't have an issue with SXM except that my areas stinks for satellite radio reception. Always breaks up.

I can reproduce this problem by remote starting my car, 100% of the time.

Remote Start?

New one for me, didn't know you could remote 'start' the Clarity. Couldn't find it in the book, on the key fob, or the phone app. However I've used the key fob and the phone app to remote start the climate control. Is that what you're referring to? I had no issues so if yours's is doing that, its an issue for the service dept.

It's starting the climate control. You aren't technically starting the car, no. I've taken it to the service department. They've replaced every component of the entire center stack and said Honda is investigating further.

Wow, that truly is strange. Let us know what they say when you speak with them again.

Like I said previously, as our 'Fall' heat wave here in GA persists I use the feature often using the phone app. It takes longer because it has to connect through the satellite with the car but has worked flawlessly so far. Using the key fob means you have to be in Bluetooth range.

I am having a real problem with my terrestrial radio in my 2017 Clarity. This started gradually, but definitely is increasing in frequency. My radio will lose signal, then sometimes come back and other times will erase all of my presets and restore everything back to default settings. Such a pain! I have taken the car to the dealer twice now. They do a "software update", which has done nothing to remedy the situation. Now it seems they have given up. They make comments like "even the president of our dealership has this problem with his Clarity and they can't fix it". I'm not sure how this helps me. They did say the problem is evident in a number of other Clarity vehicles. I guess they are telling me to just accept the fact that the radio isn't going to work properly. I guess that is too much to ask, to have a piece of hardware like a radio work properly. This makes me wonder ... what if something serious goes wrong?? Hmmmmm ...

Stuck on preset

This might be an easy fix. I think this is what happened to me recently. I simply used the left hand 'ring' on the steering wheel to change the source back to Sirius XM (or wherever you had it) and it worked 'for me'.
Good luck. If it works, send me a bottle of 'CAB'. You can also use the NAV display to 'check' the source.

I just had a similar problem on Wednesday evening. Just got hung up phone via bluetooth. Radio would not come back on. I tried tapping power icon, changing stations, changing source... nothing worked. I eended up having to reboot the touchscreen.

We had this problem one evening and thought our trial had ended early. We switched to FM for the rest of the dive. A few days later I checked SXM and it was working fine. Problem resolved itself for us, probably because we turned it off and back on again...

I too have been having this problem. I can reproduce it anytime I want.

XM radio will be unresponsive and quiet if I do any of the following.

1. Pre warm the car using the scheduled climate control feature.
2. Start the climate control using the remote.
3. Start the climate control using the app.

The XM will start working again by doing the following.

1. Touch and hold the power button until a reboot option pops up, select reboot.
2. Power cycle the car (you know, cause they are like giant iPads on wheels).

I have been talking to the dealer and have reported it directly to Honda. So far shrugged shoulders, and "I have reported it and it may be fixed with an over-the-air update soon".
