Had been bothering dealers for a while to get a deal on one of these, finally got an out-the-door price of $30k six months ago. Haven't driven the thing a ton yet but couldn't be much happier with it so far. That's a good price but wtth the tax break I think it's a steal.
Honda Link isn't the best, and the one time I ran the battery to zero I was getting a high-RPM feel around the 20-30 mph speed I have to figure out. But overall it drives great, doesn't feel in any way like a downgrade from my comparably-sized all gas silver Sonata (was a very good car for me). It feels like a quality-made sedan I won't need to put much gas into at all.
Other than a cupholder phone mount and a screen protector I haven't done much at all to the car. I think a high quality set of tires is in the future, I definitely favor snow performance over efficiency, but let's see how it handles a NJ winter as is.
Overall I'm really surprised these didn't sell that well. It may not be the ideal car for every buyer but there must be a huge number of folks this is perfect for. I had to look it up but the internet suggests the average commute is 16 miles. If I worked in my office it would be about 20 miles each way.
Anyway, figured I'd jump on here and find out what I don't know about the Clarity. Not too many of these around so glad that this forum exists.
