Hello Group,

My level 1 charger is charging fine but my level 2 is not working, no green light on the car. Charger seems to be functioning.

Any thoughts?

Dave.

What year is your Clarity?

Your level 2 was working fine for (x) number of months then recently stopped working?

What type of EVSE do you have?

You maywant to go to plugshare.com and see if you can find a free charging station in your area, if you can charge there then it would point to your level 2 EVSE not working, although not conclusively.
2018. I did charge at a Blink station today as a test, charged OK. Also no dash warning lights/messages.
Level 2 was working fine from October of last year, last week stopped working.

2018 has a service bulletin, there is a software update that addresses a charging issue that a few people experienced "in areas with poor or fluctuating power quality". But before going down the software update route you may want to try and confirm if your EVSE is still working or not. If you know anyone with a non-Tesla EV who could come by and see if they can charge at your house. Or if they use the same type of 240V outlet then you could loan them your EVSE. If none of that is feasible, maybe contact the EVSE manufacturer if it's still under warranty.

The Honda service bulletin is 18-097. It won't automatically appear when the dealer enters your VIN number into their system, they have to search for 18-097 and then they will see that it can be applied to the 2018 model if the customer reports charging problems.
The patch is available for 2018 cars, Honda dealers will not apply it without first doing a diagnostic that usually runs between 100 to 200 bucks.
At least so I was told by a representative from Honda when I called to inquire as I am having line noise charging issues at my location.

Do you know someone with a plugin vehicle that uses the same connector that come over and connect their car to see if the problem is the charger?
Hardwired, or plug? Power outage knocked out our Level 2 twice. (Ours is plug so I unplugged and plugged it back in, after which if worked again).
Thanks for all the comments. Fixed the problem, it was a simple issue with the charger. The top "clip" on the charger got bent down, didn't allow the plug to fully engage.
