Hi,

I've had my Clarity for about 5 months. Quite happy so far. I do have one consistent problem. I can't seem to get the climate turned on, on cold days, to warm up the interior of the car, using the remote key fob. It has happened successfully once, but I can't seem to recreate that. The manual states I should get six light flashes after I press the lock button, followed by holding the climate button, but I only get three flashes. I currently don't have a level 2 charge station yet, so just plugged into the 120v. The manual recommends 240v. Do I need a level 2 charger to have this system work remotely? Or do I need to unplug the car to get it to work? Thanks for any help. I do hope to offer a review of my experience with the car after a year. I previously had an Accord Hybrid for four years and traded that in for this.

Yes and Yes. Either will work. Or you can use the Honda app to turn on climate control. If the car is plugged into 120 volts, you need to turn off charging before you can turn on climate control.

Don't know much about climate control but why is this? It would seem that if the heater for instance was electric it would help save the battery if you left it plugged in.
