What is the highest e-mile charge anyone here has got their Clarity to charge up to? I have gone over 50 miles four times. (50.8 twice, 51.8 once and 52.3 once) all the rest of my charges have been below 49. Will it go to 60 or higher?

in kms, sorry!

hi there,

still fairly new car (4300km) but highest i've gotten is 92.5km, and that was thanks to a level 2 charger in a parking lot. i am finding it doesn't charge as high at home (we are still charging overnight on 120v)...does anyone know why?

I've hit 61 on a charge. Mostly in the mid to upper 50s in temps north of 65; as low as 38 in winter..
But just know that the EV range is calibrated off your most recent driving habit. I've had 38 range in the winter be an actual of 54 when manually tracking. Also know that the heater burns 6 kHw per hour. AC is minimal.

Well, the 92.5km was the highest we have gotten to. We were averaging 86-90 here at home. Things cooked down a bit here this past week (only September??) and it was ranging from 78-86km after charging overnight at home. I'm anticipating it to really drop come winter....

When we bought our Clarity off the lot back in Aug. 2018 the highest charge we got the rest of the year was 49. During this past summer it was (and still is) charging up to 57 regularly. When I asked my wife about it, she confessed to easing up on her lead foot a bit. But considering the batteries are expected to lose a small % of charge every year, I'm happy with that. Lowest was 29 in the middle of winter...still enough to get my wife to work and back on just the battery.

I live right on the Southeastern coast of North Carolina. The temperature range here is very moderate most of the year and my Clarity Touring PHEV is garaged every night and hooked up to a level 2 charger. The highest mileage charge I have achieved since date of purchase — 11/20/19 — is 58 miles. Average is hard to say but almost always above 50. However, during my first winter of ownership, I did notice the charge levels were quite often below 50 when the outside temperatures were very cold and I had driven the car excessively that day.

The battery will always charge to the level that it can charge to. The guess-o-meter on miles remaining on the battery is based on your past driving. I bought my Clarity in May. I never charge below 50 miles and usually charge above 60. My highest charge reading was 69 miles. I have hit above 65 on a few occasions. I'm pretty light on the accelerator. I enjoy gunning it from time-to-time, but I get more jollies out of great fuel efficiency than rapid acceleration. I live in the Rocky Mountains where the winters are cold. We'll see how well I and the car can do then.

Sometimes over 60-mile range, but changes with weather

Under ideal conditions - temps between 55 and 68, Level 2 charger - I almost always see range in the 50s, and sometimes in the 60s. However, range goes down dramatically with the temperature. In the depths of winter here in Massachusetts, when the temperature is well below freezing, range will often plummet to around 38.

More Guess-O-Meter Miles After Long Downhill drive

I charged my car last night after travelling down a long canyon in EV mode. It showed a 77.9 mile range after charging. I'll only get that many miles on my battery if I travel down that long canyon again while in EV mode.

We usually get in the high 50's, but today for the 1st time it charged to 60. That mileage is with use of AC. In the winter the milage drops by about 25% depending on how cold it is.

I do go easy on the accelerator to maximize the mileage, but even pushing it, it rarely drops below 50 in the summer.
