Those currently shopping around for an attractive lease on an EV, should definitely consider the 2018 Clarity. Honda has reduced the monthly payment from the $269 it was previously, down to $199. The lease details are as follows:

- $199 per month (plus tax) for 36 months
- $1,499 down payment (not including tax, registration or additional fees), which reflects a built-in federal tax credit
- 20,000 miles per year and 24/7 roadside assistance
- Clarity Electric eligible for $2,500 California and Oregon state rebate
– Model eligible for California Clean Air Vehicle Stickers, allowing single occupant HOV access
- The basic cost for 36 months seems to be then $8,663.

Wow that is an awesome deal! Not that good here in Maine but still not bad I got a 36 month 36K mile lease for the same down payment and 248 a month with a 14.5k buyout option i think Maine will charge me over 900 dollars to put tags on year one as they go on the MSRP regardless of what you pay lease or not they get their excise tax. I presently plan on buying it out and will be all in at 24 to 25K for a 32K car that came with a 12K discount but I dont get the 7500 tax credit on the lease and Maine dosent care abount EVs so no tax break here....still a good deal as charging from the house cost 1/2 of gas and I can go 3 weeks on 2 gallons or less if I dont have long highway driving to do.
