Hi,
Just purchased and received our 2018 clarity plugin base model tonight. She was trying to show us the preheat button feature and it didn't appear to be working. The hazards flashed twice i believe and we saw nothing else happen. We locked the doors, then held the button down for a few seconds and blinked lights but nothing happened. The battery was depleted (they were supposed to charge it). Was this the issue? Does the battery need to be charged for preheat or precool feature to work?

Also, the dealer did not have a form for me to take when I purchaed in regards to claiming the 7500 tax. I am assuming the form we need to fill out via irs will have certain questions that we can input without a form from the dealer? Part of the reason we bought it was because of the 7500 federal tax credit. They automatically deducted the 1700 from the total price.
Thanks!
Jim

Yes.

It is an IRS form. Your tax preparer will get it for you.

Thanks-
Does it matter if i leave climate control on or a certain temperature before I turn the car off? Or does it default to a 68 degree cabin temp? Will seat heaters turn on if i leave them on when exiting the car?
Thanks-
Last question-
Why don't I get a notice when you respond via email or pop up in the actual forum? Would be helpful.

I'll answer my own question. I can't get the keyfob charger to work for some reason. Locking doors and then holding the button down for a couple seconds. The hondlink app works though. You ened to have the blower and heat temp on as you normally would with a regular car starter.
