My headlights are set to Auto. Last night, I was waiting in the car for someone and shut my engine off. The headlights remained on until I finally manually turned them off. The problem is then I need to remember to turn them back on auto when I start the car again. Is there another way to do this so that the lights go off and stay on Auto?

Page 164 in the owner's manual:


If you set the power mode to VEHICLE OFF (LOCK) with the headlight switch on, but
do not open the door, the lights turn off after 10 minutes (3 minutes, if the switch
is in the AUTO position).

Thanks. 3 minutes is a little long. I wish that value was changeable.

You can change the time to zero in the vehicle settings/lighting but the headlines will still remain on after you turn off the ignition. You need to open and close the driver's door to turn it off.
