Since Ford is willing to adjust the price I think it's a keeper. Are you entertaining the idea of a different brand?
If your order is a written contract, Ford must honor it (to your satisfaction).Wife ordered a 2022 Mustang Mach EV in April 2022 just before the cutoff for 2022 and before the increase in prices.
Now we just got a message from Ford saying that our 2022 MME is now pushed into a 2023.
Even though Ford is passing on a rebate for the price difference, the 2023 trim has changed significantly that the options are no longer available.
On top of that, color is no longer available (matching ice blue silver Lightning).
Can't find a decent color choice for 2023 - very limited unlike the Lightning 2023 colors.
Price protection is gone which means the preferred rates and incentives are gone as well.
Not quite sure what to do....

My order has priority since it's being moved from 2022 to 2023 but the question is will Ford adjust the price if I move into a different trim level.Since Ford is willing to adjust the price I think it's a keeper. Are you entertaining the idea of a different brand?
It's an order placed online with a $500 deposit. If your order is a written contract, Ford must honor it (to your satisfaction).

The 2023 Select trim lacks a lot of options that the 2022 had to choose from.
If I move my Select order to a Premium trim which has those options standard, will I get that 2022-2023 price differential ?
Ah. I suspect that without a contract, Ford is only on the hook to return the $500, should things go sideways. It's an order placed online with a $500 deposit.
I don't know if it's binding since they can't make the 2022 anymore...
Correct, since the vehicle never materialized with a VIN or otherwise, they can just refund my deposit and call it an end.Ah. I suspect that without a contract, Ford is only on the hook to return the $500, should things go sideways.
Yes, updated last month by Ford - production build will be starting 12/5/22 as Priority 01 which supersedes any new '23 orders.Any updates on this? We're still waiting for VinFast to contact us, (or the given up hope on Cybertruck). I noticed they've got ordering open for the Mach-E on the Ford website. Ford BlueCruise looks like a rebranded GM SuperCruise. Will you be getting that option?
I think they're both playing catch up with the Chevy Bolt. With discounts and incentives, they're going for the high $20k range, and Chevy can't make them fast enough.Just went out: Ford drops prices on Mustang Mach E for 2023!
Guess they wanted to play ball with Tesla ?
New prices are effective 1/1/23.
Any deliveries / purchases before today will get a refund check from Ford!
My order will get $4000 off the sticker and the $6500 cash rebate plus the $2000 Ford Options balloon financing!
Plus the state and federal credits.
Net cost: $34K

No kidding!I think they're both playing catch up with the Chevy Bolt. With discounts and incentives, they're going for the high $20k range, and Chevy can't make them fast enough.
And sell one for ~$5k-$10k more than was paid for it. I see people writing about doing it, over on the Bolt forum. No kidding!
I was at a Chevy dealership the other day and saw 2 Bolt EUV being prepped for delivery.
Sales person said he sold both EUVs to 1 customer who wanted the tax credits and reduced pricing.
You can buy 2 for the price of 1 Ford Mustang Mach EV....![]()
