Hello all
I have had my Clarity for about 6 mo's now and have 7000 miles on it. I like the car other than the poor EV mileage I'm getting.

I live around the St. Louis area temps have been very mid here so far. I have 230 volt charge system and I only get low 30's for mileage. A far cry from what they sold the car as 47 miles! I have had it the dealer twice now for this problem. They did all the updates still no fix. I have own five Honda cars and this is the only one that I have had any problems with.

Good luck to all you Clarity owners I hopes that Honda gets the problems with the car corrected.

Most people get increased range as the temperature goes up. I did with my Volt and now with my Clarity. Hang in there it will probably get better.

Middle of January in So Cal with warm 75 degree weather wearing shorts today!

Move to a warm state and you won't have to suffer from decreased battery capacity - today had 49 mile EV range...

Hmmm, moving 1,800 miles for better range seems extreme but I guess EV owners are persnickety.

I also live in the St. Louis area. Same thing. It's the cool weather. Also affects Volt owners, Tesla owners, etc. I got 54 miles EV range this last Sept. Only get in the high 30s to low 40s now. It will get better when the weather gets warmer. Doesn't make any difference if you charge with 120 or 240 charger. How you drive makes a big difference Also you warm you set the heater.

Thankfully Honda even included Eco driving feedback on ICE models that have trained me to drive more efficiently, coming from a past with no regard for fuel economy.

I am just tickled that I have spent ZERO fuel the past 2 weeks of ownership!

Normally, with gas prices at $3 / gal I would have spent $100 in fuel.

Gotta love the PHEV!
