CarPlay Stopped Working

When iPhone 13 plugged in, the infotainment screen says loading, then goes black. It has worked for a year, and still works on other vehicles with CarPlay. I held audio power to reset, and was able to use CarPlay again--one time. I reset again--no joy. I reset the infotainment to factory settings--no joy. Does anyone have additional troubleshooting steps I could try?

Long shots:

1. Try the cable that works in the other vehicle.
2. Check for iOS update/Update to the latest.

Update.. the phone is bad. Now won’t work on other carplay equipped cars.

My son has a 13 Pro Max (I believe) and recently updated to iOS 16. It's working so far for him (no complaints to the contrary). What iOS version are you running?
I had a similar issue with an older iPhone and the fix was shutting down all of the iPhone apps, powering off the phone, and starting it back up.

Thanks. iPhone is apparently deeply troubled… taking to store today….
Anyone know how to prevent iPhone - Carplay from playing music every time I plug the USB cable?
This is so annoying, I only want it to play music when I click the play button.

I tried stopping the music before unplugging, tried power off audio, force closing Music app while plugged and unplugged, nothing seems to change the behavior. If I don't play music for a long time I think there were some instances where it wasn't playing music.
It may be somewhere in the CarPlay settings on the iPhone. (I'm an Android guy quite honestly)...
