Car Does Not Always Charge

I have had my Clarity for 2 years now. I thought I had seen this issue listed before and a fix associated with it, but cannot find it. Hopefully, someone can assist.
From time to time, I'll plug in my car to a level 2 charger (either my own or one somewhere else) and it will connect, however, I'll come back after an hour or two (or more) to find that it has not charged at all. Since it has happened with different chargers, I don't believe the charger is the problem. I always listen for the connection sound and check the light to see that it is connected.
Has anyone else experienced this? Was there a fix associated with it? I asked at the dealer and they were not aware.
Thanks for any info.

This issue seems to affect a small percentage of 2018 models. Service bulletin 18-097 "Clarity Fails To Charge or Finish Charging" seems to fix it for most people. This service bulletin is not automatically applied, only when the owner reports the symptom. The SB apparently does not appear when the dealer looks up by VIN which could be why the dealer didn't see anything for your car, but if you tell them to look up 18-097 then they should be able to see this SB in their system and apply the software update to your car.

Great response from “2002”. I’ve made a copy and put this in my reference files. Thanks a lot 2002.
Mine doesn't charge either

I have the same issue and I have the 2019 Clarity Touring.

I had the same problem last week on my 2018. Ever time I tried to charge it it clicked started to charge and went off. I went into the schedule and it was set to only charge for an hour after midnight? Not sure how that got there but I deleted it and now it's back to normal. Go figure..
