This morning, Ford has just announced their new model year 2023 F150 Lightning.

With the upcoming, proposed tax credit will you be ordering one ?

Here is the build link online so you can customize your Ford F150 2023 Lightning:

https://shop.ford.com/configure/f150-lightning/2023/model/customize/pro?gnav=header-electrified-bp

Looking at my 2022 Lariat I just paid for, it's a $7000 increase !

And if you order any trim / battery higher than an XLT SR you won't get the proposed tax credit!

It doesn't seem one can even place an order...

Correct, reservations will not be taking place until Ford gets a handle on the 2021 reservations first.

Additional reservations will probably be taken later this year.

Here's a video on how Ford is handling the 2023 Lightnings and the upcoming wave invites:

Nope. Unlike Joe Diffy, I am not a pickup man.

Well I am not a Tesla man - have never liked their design, subscription or pay for options when it's already equipped, and the founder's business style.

I did put in a very early reservation for the $40K GMC EV WT but don't know when that will come to fruition.

Interesting that both the Mustang Mach EV and Lightning were ordered at the same time.

Didn't think I'd get the Lightning so quickly - 3 months from ordering, 1 month from build date and 2 weeks via rail.

OTOH my Mustang Mach E is unknown - no build date - no movement.
For my wife's $2500 March 18, 2019 deposit on a Y LR RWD, they decided to tell us, was it last year, to pick a different configuration, at then current pricing, on EVERYTHING, including Full Self Driving. They would not even honor the FSD original pricing. That definitely left a sour taste in our mouths!

Still waiting on Cybertruck news as her almost $80k tri motor build is very likely not going to be built, and all pricing has been wiped from Tesla pages.....

At least Ford is good on their promise - they are honoring 2022 pricing for those that had their orders pushed into 2023 and those that extended their invitation to order for the trim they ran out of.

Had no idea Tesla treated you that poorly for an order placed that long ago.

My co-workers have Teslas - S, Y, 3 and they seem to be satisfied with their rides.

Interesting note that ALL my co-workers have only WHITE Teslas - no other colors....

Used to be black was the no cost color, then at some point white became a no cost color. For sure the switch happened after March 18, 2019 as my wife opted (at $1k) for blue. (We aren't fond of black). So your co-workers either all paid for it or all opted for the free color. When I see a red one, (Model 3 at least), it reminds me of $2k....

At least the Cybertruck is only a $100 deposit.

Glad Ford chose to be fair. (I'll keep your Ken Grody in mind just in case my wife changes her mind)...
