The infotainment screen on my Honda Clarity just stopped displaying the default full screen view and is now displaying multiple widgets, including the map. The mic icon is now on the lefthand side instead of the right. The phone, settings, audio, and Google maps icons are larger and in the center.

Sounds like Android crashed. Turn the car off, open the door, and unplug the negative battery cable for 30 minutes. Then reattach the negative battery cable and restart the car. You'll have a boatload of warnings - ignore them and check your screen. To clear the warnings go drive a few miles.

Thanks for the feedback. Actually, I discovered that the change is due to a recent Android Auto app update called Coolwalk. I don't like it at all, and from the looks of it I am not the only one (see article below) I just wish that Google developers would just stop fiddling with apps that aren't broken. 5 Things You Must Know If You Don’t Like Android Auto Coolwalk

I got the same change on my Volt today. What I discovered is there's a small icon in the lower left corner that cycles through the new tiled interface, the old classic (full screen) interface, and the all apps small tile interface.
You can set your android auto to show "app controls" (or something like that) and it will be pretty close to the non-coolwalk interface (the clock is moved to the bottom).
