Trying to start vehicle as usual, but either engine will not power on and car stays in the mode when car is still plugged in. Display states, “remove charger connector.” After a little time other error messages continue, see pictures.

Replace the 12v battery. Don't bother checking it as it's failed. What you're seeing is a communications failure due to undervoltage to the main computers and various sensors.

That’s also what I’m thinking. Similar errors happened with my old prius when battery was low.
No cold weather here… beautiful sunny Southern California!

I've heard people say the OEM Ford Motorcraft batteries were really good (not the ones at the auto parts stores). Maybe try that for your next battery? I had Honda replace my 12V battery under warranty. The battery had pry-able caps that you can open and add distilled water to, and even my new battery was low enough to show the plates about a few months out. You clean off the top of the battery of all dust, pry off the cap, carefully clean the dust around the holes so that it doesn't fall inside, drip water with a clean bulb syringe until the water's surface gets distorted by the semi-tube protruding into the battery, then close it all up.

Our original battery has a little round health indicator. So far I haven’t had to add water, but definitely add distilled water. I just ordered a 4th one of these LiFePO4 type batteries for my wife’s Panamera. Forget lead acid/AGM!

(Verify it comes with JIS to SAE skinny to thick adapters if buying).

Just be aware that Li chemistries are reluctant to charge at temps below freezing (32F, 0C). Then again, PbAs aren't much better.

Thanks for the warning for our cold climate friends! (I forget that I’m spoiled down here in Southern California SGV region). I noticed there’s kind of a felt/black blanket wrapped around the sides of the battery. Wonder/Hope that would help some?…

The little blanket might help, if the low temperature doesn't continue for several days. For masses that don't self-heat, insulation will really only slow down the heat transfer out, not eliminate it.
