But to add, while I would highly recommend SELLING to Carmax and Carvana (I've done both in last 8 months), I would absolutely NOT buy from either. And I would avoid Vroom for anything - their selling process is much harder, slower, and sketchier for reasons I won't detail here.
The overall market is horrible I know but unless you're fixated on the Clarity in particular you would probably do somewhat better with another option. There are just far too few of them selling for way too much, and the vast majority are 3-4 years old now, their sales dropped to almost nothing when I bought mine. Cool car but not $30k used cool, it fits some people in some situations like a glove, especially those with lighter commutes, but if that's the case a respectable non-plug in hybrid may be decent option also. About $22.5k new + tax/tags (after Federal & state rebates factored in) that was the 2nd best car deal I ever made. I would certainly buy another Honda.
Of course I'm speaking from the perspective of someone who doesn't absolutely need a car right now and can purchase one at any time if I had to, I know that's not everyone's situation. But much as I like the Clarity and appreciate the market and gas prices, I think the electric capacity is just a little too small for that cost and more limited warranty. If you could get just 60 EV miles range minimum at the bottom end year round that would do it for me maybe.
I guess what I'm saying is if you don't find your Clarity it may not be the worst thing. It was once one of the best kept secrets value-wise for a new car but that's gone now. New ones are all sold, word is out on the model and gas shot up.
