I'm so excited about our Clarity! in the past, I preferred a sportier tune on my cars, and these days you can get 35mpg out of a lot of cars, so fuel savings from a hybrid are diminished. But over the last few years I noticed that you can find some attractive deals for non Prius hybrids, and hybrids usually have some higher end features than on the base gas models. I noticed an tempting lease deal on Honda's website. I drove one at a local dealer and found that it would be fun car to own in a lot of ways. I was amazed that I could get a 1st month only due at signing for a payment that I was expecting to pay for a base midsize sedan. My theory about a bargain on a non Prius hybrid panned out. The plug in makes it nicer because driving on electric is so smooth and quiet. So far my wife has driven back and forth to work for a week on a single charge. We don't have a garage, but fortunately our only out door electrical outlet is right next to the driveway. I won't be putting in a rapid charger. I'm hoping I can charging it when the weather is good will be enough to take advantage and do our local driving on electric. I will use the engine frequently because I don't want gas to sit in the tank for months at a time. As for Honda, until the last few years, I always found that other manufacturers offered more features for less money and were just as reliable. That was not the case with the Clarity, at least for this acquisition. i am somewhat disappointed in the owner's manual, it should contain a lot more information. I hope this forum will enhance the Clarity experience.

Welcome to the forum and to the brand! Both the new Clarity and Insight are some of the better looking hybrids that we've seen on the market for sure. Did you go with the base or touring model? There's a digital version of the manual here, which is a bit easier to navigate thanks to keyword searches.
Also welcome, you can go (and should) online to order the full manual for the car and another for the NAV system. In the meantime, you can read it tho a little less convenienthttp://techinfo.honda.com/rjanisis/pubs/OM/AH/ATRW1818NV/enu/ATRW1818NV.PDF . This one is for the NAV manual http://techinfo.honda.com/rjanisis/pubs/OM/AH/ATRW1818NV/enu/ATRW1818NV.PDF .

Thank you! This owners manual is what I was expecting. Part of the fun of a new car is exploring the owners manual. I got the base model.
