Turn signals stopped working: Software glitch

Today, I drove to the gas station to put gas in my Clarity. I turned off the car and, when finished fueling, started it up as normal. I noticed that the display was very dim and tried to adjust it with the + - buttons, but nothing happened. I started driving, and after a minute I realized that I couldn't see anything but the speedometer: the electricity level on the left and the gas level on the right were not displaying. Worse of all, I couldn't use my turn signals (or at least I couldn't tell whether they were working).

I went ahead and drove the remaining half a mile to the supermarket (using hand signals all the way), where I parked the car, but not before noticing that the turn signals were coming on, they were just not displaying on the panel, nor making a clicking sound. I then shut down the car and locked it with the door button. But now, the trunk would not unlock! I unlocked the car, but the trunk was stuck locked. I used the valet key to unlock the trunk through the keyhole behind the headrest of the rear passenger seat on the driver's side and left the car unlocked.

I did my shopping and when I returned, I started up the car and everything went back to normal. I agree with other people in the forum that electric cars are new and bound to have software glitches, but I think this is a fatal flaw: if I had been on a highway and not a city street, being unable to know that I was using the turn signal could have led to an accident. Honda needs to fix this ASAP.

While I agree this needs to be fixed, I'd wager that three quarters of the people on the road think turn signals are optional equipment.

Was the trunk unresponsive to the unlock button in the driver's footwell?

Might be a long shot but I wonder if the 12V battery is nearly dead. I realize that once the car is started the HV battery begins providing 12V power through the DC to DC converter, but I think I have heard of Clarity doing weird things when the 12V is nearly dead. Maybe it went into some kind of mode when the car was first started and remained in that mode even when 12V power was fully available. Then the subsequent restart (with slightly higher 12V battery temperatures) cleared the problem. Just pure speculation, but even if it's something else it seems worth taking it into the dealer to log a report of the incident in case it happens again, and they can also see if some error codes were stored.
