Vibration during braking
When I brake "harder", which I assume means the service brakes are engaged, I get a strong vibration in the pedal and the whole car, very similar to an ABS event. I don't get any ABS messages and it happens every times and on dry roads. This is when I brake "harder", which I think means that the service brakes get engaged.
Now I did a lot of reading and what I got from that is that when regenerative braking happens in the front wheels, the service brakes sometimes get automatically applied to the rear wheels, via the ABS motor and valves. This makes sense, but the vibration I get is really strong, like ABS.
The car is very new, one month and 1500 miles. On a normal car this can happen if the cylinders or disks wear unevenly but this shouldn't be the case here.
So: Is this "normal"? If it is, it's very annoying.
Should I bring the car in for inspection?
