Congrats on getting a Clarity.

What did you own before making the move?
Also, how has your mileage been since delivery day?

2006 honda civic ex.
I was getting 42 miles on a full charge with E.V. but it is going up the more I drive it it's now at 45 miles full charge as for milage it says I can go 370 miles with full charge using H.V. mode, I did drive 160 miles on freeway the other day using H.V. and the battery only went down to 92 % from full charge but the gas went down to less than half way using climate control on but its only a 7 gal tank and it wasn't full at start of trip.

Can not start a new thread so..

Sorry about this but I can not start a new thread so I will ask you and anyone that sees this, How does the tax rebate work? Does the dealer keep the rebate or do you have to wait until you file in 2019 to receive the $7500 from the government?

You need to BUY, not lease, your car. If you lease, the leasing company gets the tax credit. They may or may not pass it on to you in the form of a discount on the price of the car.

It is a TAX CREDIT on your 2018 taxes that you'll receive when you file your 2018 taxes in 2019.

BUT NOTE: It is UP TO a $7500 credit. If your tax liability (what you owe the fed) is LESS than $7500, that's all you'll get as a credit.

So, if your tax liability is $5000, you'll get a $5000 tax credit and owe no federal income tax. The other $2500 GOES AWAY. You do NOT get a cash refund and you can NOT carry it into the next tax year. It's just gone!

My dealer wouldn't talk about the tax credit. He just said, "You need to consult your tax accountant."
