4 month impressions

Bought ours in early June. Added side door guards and back bumper lip guard. Love the way this car handles, the quiet ride, Garmin navi, and great EV around town mileage (50-72). It seems that the gas motor doesn't drone so loud in HV mode on the highway, but it does in HV charge mode. So I use HV mode on the highway and save EV only mode for low speed local trips, or the final miles of highway driving on the way home, where I can recharge. Also like the driver seat height adjustment on our Touring model. Wish the passenger side had it. Other complaints : seats are way too firm for long distance travel and no driver's side blind spot warning.

How are you finding road noise to be? I'm coming from a history of luxury products and hope the Clarity offers 'comfort' in the form of a quiet cabin.

For the same reason I will be looking out for winter tires that create the least rolling resistance if my budget allows

Engine noise in EV mode is absent, same in HV mode if there aren't a lot of inclines and speed is no more than 70mph. You really hear the gas engine in HV Charge mode. Wind noise is slight. Car seems better insulated than other Honda I've owned.

Overall, I find the 'low friction' all weather Michelin's that come standard pretty quite. And the tread wear rating should get between 40,000 and 50,000 miles of safe use. I did have to replace my right front with just two thousand miles due to a metal spike on the inside corner of the tread, it wasn't a good enough place to patch. You will find a considerable difference in road noise when going from asphalt to concrete road surface.
