Purchase 09/22/2018

Hello everyone, I purchases my Touring plug in last Saturday, September 22, 2018. I opted for the "forest pearl" with the beige interior. The Honda dealer in Ohio that I purchased from had serviced my previous car, a 2009 Fit which served me well for 135,000 miles and was still going strong, and I liked their service department so I am glad that they could make me a deal on the new Clarity. My salesman admitted that they had only sold two or three since they came out, and I took a sneak peak of his list that showed all the cars on the lot and how long they had been there and mine was at the top of the list at 248 days (at least it was inside the showroom out of the weather). Anyway, price was $33,700 which from what I have read was a fairly good price, and I am sure that the other vehicle I was thinking about, a CR-V all wheel drive Touring, they would not have come down on the sticker price as much. In the end the good price, the fuel economy and the $7500 federal credit were among the factors in my final decision. I have many questions for fellow owners and I will do my best to help out with answers as well. Thanks, Mike

Welcome, bought mine Sept. 26. Base model. Same here in Houston, not selling well so far though the price of oil is increasing. Good luck

Thanks

I expect the battery range will go way down once the weather gets a bit colder and I have to start using the heater and possibly the defroster. Not such a problem in Houston although I was stationed in Texas and do remember it getting quite chilly at night sometimes......

Garage
Cold temp effects

Probably will figure it out this winter but keeping it in the garage might minimize things here in GA.
