Intro and question

Hi - I'm an Accord owner, looking to buy a Clarity. Maybe today. I have limited charging abilities at home where I only have a 120v outlet in our condo carport. I need to know what the current draw is for the level 1 charger. Is it 8 amps, 10 amps, 12 amps, etc? And is this amount configurable? PS - I realize that the specifications say that a 15 amp circuit is required...just need to know what will be actually used.

Thank you!

Welcome to the forum!

I just picked up my Clarity 2 weeks ago and love it.

The factory Honda charger is rated at 12 amps for Level 1 (120 VAC) charging.
It will be enough to charge overnight (12-14 hours) from a depleted battery to full.

There are other aftermarket L1 chargers that will do 16A to decrease charge time but then again you will need a dedicated circuit.
